Terms of Service

Welcome to Brave Bears. Brave Bears is a trading name of Mensmind Pty Ltd (ABN 56 666 456 337) of Queensland, Australia ("we", "us", "our"). These terms apply when you use bravebears.com or buy from us. By placing an order or using the site, you agree to them. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law or other laws that can't be excluded.

1. Our products

We sell soft plush bears and related gifts. We do our best to show each bear's colour, size and details accurately, but screens vary and every plush is a little bit unique, so small differences in shade or fur may occur. Please follow the care and safety information shown on each product page.

2. Prices and payment

• All prices are in Australian dollars (AUD).
• Payment is taken securely by Stripe at checkout. Your order is confirmed once payment is successful and you see our order confirmation page.
• If a product is listed at an incorrect price or becomes unavailable, we may cancel the order and refund you in full.

3. Promo codes

Promo codes are valid for the period and conditions stated when they're offered, can be used once per order unless we say otherwise, have no cash value and can't be exchanged or combined with other offers. We may end a promotion at any time.

4. Shipping

• We currently ship to Australia and New Zealand.
• Standard shipping is a flat $9.95, and free on orders of $100 or more.
• Delivery times shown at checkout are estimates. Delays caused by carriers or events outside our control can happen, and we'll help you track down any missing parcel.
• Please check your shipping address carefully at checkout — we can't be responsible for parcels sent to an incorrect address you've provided.

5. Gift messages

If you add a gift message, we'll print it and post it with your bear. Messages are limited to 500 characters. We may decline or edit messages that are offensive or unlawful.

6. Returns and refunds

• Change of mind: we accept returns within 30 days of purchase, provided the bear is unused and in its original condition and packaging. Return postage is paid by you, and we'll refund the product price once the item arrives back with us.
• Faulty or damaged items: if your bear arrives damaged, faulty or not as described, contact us and we'll arrange a repair, replacement or refund in line with the Australian Consumer Law, including reasonable return postage.
• To start a return, please contact us with your order details.

7. Accounts

You're responsible for keeping your account login secure and for activity on your account. Please let us know straight away if you think someone else has accessed it. We may suspend accounts that are used fraudulently or in breach of these terms.

8. Our Brave Promise

We share 10% of Brave Bears' profits with kindness causes — such as supporting sick kids and providing food and supplies for families doing it tough. This is our commitment as a business and doesn't change the price you pay.

9. Intellectual property

The Brave Bears name, logo, bear characters, designs, photos and website content belong to us or our licensors. Please don't copy or use them for commercial purposes without our written permission.

10. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we're not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the site or our products. Where our liability can't be excluded but can be limited, it is limited to replacing or repairing the goods, or refunding what you paid for them. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law are not affected.

How we handle personal information is explained in our Privacy Policy.

12. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms from time to time; the version on this page applies to orders placed after it's published. These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, and you and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland.
